Sarah Pickering: Explosions, Fires and Public Order ReviewI pre-ordered this book after chancing across Sarah Pickering's work online. I saw she had a show at MoCP in Chicago and was fortunate enough to meet this artist and see the prints first hand. Her color prints are vivid, sharp, and full of life while her enormous black and white silver gelatin prints are lovely and deep.
Some of the pages in this book left me disappointed, a few key focal points fall in the gutter on some spreads, and the black and white images aren't nearly as full of tone and detail that the prints had, but all in all its certainly worth the $40, and even more worth the discount you get on Amazon.
