The Adventures of Tintin: A Novel (Movie Tie-In) ReviewI purchased this for a younger nephew of mine as a birthday present and couldn't resist the temptation to read it before passing it along. I grew up with the Tintin graphic novels and was pleasantly surprised at how enjoyable this book translation of the original proved to be. The original Secret of the Unicorn was one of the best Tintin comics so I was a bit nervous at how movie-tized the novel adaptation would be and indeed, it does play as a series of large set pieces but, in context, this works quite well. While no one is going to accuse this of being a super serious work of literature, its exactly what it intends to be - a fast reading, fun adventure story, told well, that should be enjoyable for most audiences. I don't know how faithful this is to the movie as I have not seen it yet.The Adventures of Tintin: A Novel (Movie Tie-In) Overview
